Irwin Mitchell has taken over niche international personal injury firm Lorenzo Zurbrugg, creating the largest foreign claims team in the UK. Partners Michael Zurbrugg and Jose De Lorenzo, along with the entire team of 17 fee-earners and 17 support staff will join Irwin Mitchell's personal injury division, which operates within the firm's international travel litigation group. They will be based in the firm's London office. Irwin Mitchell's national head of personal injury said: "Lorenzo Zurbrugg dovetails perfectly with our expanding international travel litigation group managed by Clive Garner." London-based Lorenzo Zurbrugg specialises in accidents that occur overseas. The firm mainly represents claimants, but it has advised defendant organisations, various international motor insurers' bureaux and foreign insurers. The firm also acts in a substantial number of overseas claims that are litigated in the English courts. Zurbrugg said: "Joining Irwin Mitchell will provide our clients with an enhanced service and enable continued expansion and development into new overseas markets."
