#Manchester firm Pannone has hired two new partners in its personal injury department. Kate Wild leaves Simpson Millar's Manchester office, where she was head of the conditional fee department, while Craig Oliver joins from Berrymans Lace Mawer in Liverpool.
#Liverpool-headquartered Hill Dickinson has promoted two female lawyers to head of practice: partner Ruth Lawrence takes over the professional risks practice group, while Maria Pittordis will head the marine, energy and trade practice group.
#Pitmans has hired Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom senior assistant Rishi Sharma to bolster its corporate team. Anita Wong also joins as an assistant from Fladgate in the dispute resolution and insolvency and corporate recovery departments.
#South East firm Cripps Harries Hall has promoted Amanda Andrews to partner in the family team. The firm also promoted seven to associate level: Rachel Butler in corporate, Katya Merrick in residential conveyancing, Oliver Morris and Nicola Paffard in real estate, Laura Phoenix in construction, Troy Wano in commercial dispute resolution and Philip Youdan in private client dispute resolution. #Banking associate Annelise O'Neill has joined Keystone Law from Allen & Overy. #Surrey-based Stevens & Bolton has hired private client partner Stuart Skeffington from Withers. Skeffington specialises in advising on taxation of investments, complex offshore structures, business exits and reconstructions, tax planning for international families and employee remuneration strategies. move of the week#Schillings has strengthened its reputation management team with the hire of senior associate Korieh Duodu from the in-house legal team of Guardian News & Media. Shrophire-based Lanyon Bowdler has made two partner promotions: Edward Rees in the private client department and Paula Nash in the clinical negligence department.
#Three trainees have qualified as assistant solicitors at Scottish firm Pagan Osborne. They are Audrey Dishington in the St Andrews private client team and Sarah Boyle and Jennifer Cruikshank in the Edinburgh family law group.
#Private care provider specialist Brunswicks has recruited litigation lawyer Chris Smith as a consultant. Smith left an in-house role at MHG Group to take up the post. #Devereux Chambers employment barrister Suzanne McKie has been appointed as chair of the Employment Lawyers Association. She takes over from Barry Clarke, who stood down on 22 May.
#The chairman of Employment Tribunals for England and Wales Christopher Ash has retired aged 64. Also retiring this month is chair of the Appeals Tribunals Elizabeth Goodman.
#Alan Kershaw has been made the first chairman of the Institute of Legal Executives' (Ilex) regulatory body. Kershaw, a member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society council, will lead the Ilex professional standards group.
#Judge Thomas Joseph and Judge Philip Price have retired from the bar. They served as circuit judges for 14 and 15 years respectively.
#Helen Maddison-White and Andrew Rannie have been promoted to the partnership at East Sussex practice Hart Reade. They both joined Hart Reade four years ago and became associates at the firm last September.
#Newcastle firm Hay & Kilner Solicitors has appointed Eric Flannaghan as an associate in the commercial disputes unit. Flannaghan was previously at Ward Hadaway in Newcastle.
