•Legal recruiter Nick Woolf has joined recruiter Sainty Hird & Partners as a partner to its launch legal capability. He joins from Norman Broadbent, where he was also a partner.
•Robin Mitchell has been promoted to head of commercial property at Archibald Campbell & Harley. Mitchell has been partner at the firm for five years.
•Boodle Hatfield has hired Hayden Bailey as an associate in its private client team. Bailey joins from Penningtons Solicitors, where he was a senior associate.
•Keoghs has appointed Paul Chandler as team leader of the fraud intelligence unit in Bolton. Chandler joins from Cunningham Lindsey, where he was team leader for the surveillance unit. Rebecca Kime also joins Keoghs from the Cotswold Group, where she was lead analyst in the intelligence team. Meanwhile, John Gill joins Keoghs as technical manager in Coventry from Royal & SunAlliance, where he was senior claims handler.
•Michael Ramsay has joined Morton Fraser's Edinburgh office as a partner in the commercial property team. He joins from DLA Piper in Edinburgh, where he was an associate. Morton Fraser has also appointed Barbara Watson as a senior associate in the Glasgow private client team. Watson joins from Hennessy Bowie & Co, where she was a partner.
•Ipswich and Norwich-based Birketts Solicitors has promoted Andrew Rush to its partnership. Rush joined Birketts' construction law team in 2005 as a senior associate.
•Buyout and equity specialist Eric McCrath has joined Morrison & Foerster as a partner in the San Francisco office. He joins from Kirkland & Ellis, where he was a partner.
•mfg Solicitors has appointed Tom Esler as a commercial litigation partner in Halesowen. Esler joins from Martin Kaye Solicitors, where he was head of commercial litigation.
•Robert Clark has joined the Washington DC office of Arnold & Porter as counsel. Clark was previously senior attorney for the enforcement and compliance division of the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
•Dewey Ballantine has appointed Evan Foster as a partner in its New York office to focus on derivatives. Koster was previously director and senior counsel at UBS Investment Bank.
•Baker & McKenzie has appointed Paul McNulty as a partner in its Washington DC office. McNulty, who was previously US deputy attorney general, will play a lead role in the firm's US litigation practice.
•IP specialist Raymond Van Dyke has joined US firm Winston & Strawn as a partner in Washington DC. Van Dyke was previously a partner at Nixon Peabody.
•Tim Driver has joined Nottingham-based Berryman's property and construction team as an associate. Driver joins from Bournemouth-based Horsey Lightly Fynn, where he was an associate.
