•Watson Burton has hired construction solicitor Fiona Edmond in London from SJ Berwin. Edmond specialises in industrial, retail and mixed-use developments.
•Bond Pearce has hired banking and insolvency specialist Philip Withey as a solicitor. Withey joins the firm's Bristol office from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London, where he was a senior associate.
•HBJ Gateley Wareing has appointed commercial property senior associate Joanne Moynan from Shepherd & Wedderburn, where she has spent the past 17 years.
•CableLabs has hired former Comcast Cable deputy general counsel Lee Zieroth as senior vice-president and general counsel. Zieroth replaces Dorothy Raymond, who continues to advise CableLabs as a consulting attorney. The company has also promoted Judson Cary and Simon Krauss. Deputy general counsel Cary has become vice-president of videotechnology policy, while Krauss was elevated to deputy general counsel from senior counsel.
•US firm Grant & Eisenhofer has recruited securities trial lawyer Keith Fleischman as a partner in its New York office. Fleischman, a former federal prosecutor, joins from Bernstein Liebhard & Lifshitz. #West Berkshire firm Dickins Hopgood Chidley has hired Amanda May and Lesley Clay as solicitors. May joins from Cheam School in North Hampshire, where she was deputy bursar, while Clay arrives having completed a returner course after a stint in the US.

•Australian law firm Minter Ellison has promoted four lawyers to its partnership in Australia. They are Sonja Bates, Maria Billias, Michael Cornes and Chern Tan.
•Derby-based Robinsons Solicitors has recruited seven lawyers in the Derbyshire and Midlands region. Newly qualified lawyers Angela Lewis, Jameel Mann, Saiga Shaffi, Richard Saum and Musarrat Yasmin join as solicitors. Charley Hemming and Benjamin Mason have also been awarded two-year training contracts.
