  • Bristol-based Bond Pearce has hired contentious regulatory associate Dale Collins from local rival Osborne Clarke.

  • DLA Piper has promoted two associates to its partnership. They are Rocky Lee, a venture capital specialist in Beijing, and Tejinder Singh Mahil, an M&A specialist in Hong Kong.

  • York-based Langleys has hired insurance assistant Nick Weston from Beachcroft. Weston joins Langleys' head office.

  • Florida-based insurance holding company AmCOMP has appointed George Harris to the newly created position of senior vice-president and general counsel. Harris joins from Florida law firm Harris Kukey & Helgesen.

  • London firm Pemberton Greenish has hired private client partner Jeremy Curtis from London firm Wedlake Bell, where he was also a partner. Curtis specialises in tax issues.

  • Southampton-based Paris Smith & Randall has taken on tax planning partner David Bird from South East rival Thomas Eggar.

  • Newcastle-based Watson Burton has promoted construction solicitors Warren Kemp and Kevin Anderson to associate level.

  • Berrymans Lace Mawer has appointed Ian Finlayson as director of its newly formed claims management function, which aims to provide clients with a full claims service. Finlayson joins from GAB Robins.

  • Ross & Co has hired Julian Gray as a partner. Gray, who specialises in shipping, insurance and international trade, joins the firm from Clyde & Co, where he was a partner.

  • US Concrete has appointed Curt Lindeman as its vice-president and general counsel. Lindeman joined the company as assistant general counsel and has served as its corporate secretary since September 2006. Previously, Lindeman was senior counsel for Coach USA.
