Winston & Strawn has appointed Carey Schreiber as a corporate partner in its New York office. Schreiber joins from Dewey Ballantine. Haworth & Nuttall has appointed Mark Brooke as a solicitor in its commercial and property team. Brooke qualified as a solicitor in October, after completing a two-year training contract with the firm. Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton has hired Laurent Legein as a partner in its Brussels corporate department. Legein joins from Clifford Chance's Brussels office, where he was managing partner. The Pensions Regulator has promoted Martine Trouard-Riolle to head of corporate risk management (CRM). She was previously a senior lawyer in the CRM team. Latham & Watkins has promoted 25 associates and one counsel to its partnership, representing all 12 of firm's offices worldwide. Brown joins following her training contract at Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw and Cayless arrives from a training contract at Landwell. DWF has hired Jonathon Close as an associate in the corporate department of its Manchester office. Close joins from Hammonds in Manchester. Millbank Tweed Hadley &McCloy has promoted two to the partnership. They are Surud Mehta, who becomes a partner in the acquisition finance department, and Sean Keaton, who becomes a partner in the technology transactions and business outsourcing practice. Mehta joined from Ashurst in 2000 and Keaton from Clifford Chance in 2005.
