Allen & Overy (A&O) has boosted its IP litigation practice with the hire of Neville Cordell and Huw Evans as partners.

Moves of the week
They were previously partners at the London offices of DLA Piper and Wragge & Co respectively. A&O head of contentious IP Nicola Dagg said: “Their arrival, alongside the promotion of Laetitia Benard [insert] and Nadine Hermann [left] as IP partners in Paris and Hamburg respectively, enables us to increase our strength in IP dramatically.”

Denton Wilde Sapte has boosted its technology, media and telecoms team by hiring partner Amanda Lewis from Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP). Lewis was also a partner at BLP.
Harbottle & Lewis has hired Shireen Peermohamed as a partner in the IP practice.
She joins from Rouse Legal, where she was a partner.

City law firm Elborne Mitchell has hired former Taylor Wessing partner James Sleightholme as a partner. Sleightholme, who
was a partner at Taylor Wessing, continues his practice in trade and shipping litigation.

The Oxford office of Manches has taken on John Castell as a partner in the commercial property team. He was previously at the City office of Crowell & Moring.

Birmingham-based Mayflower Solicitors
has taken on Katie Gowans and Samuel Oyebitan. Gowans joins from Irwin Mitchell as a senior paralegal manager, while Oyebitan will join the firm as a commercial assistant in June, having moved from Leport & Co Solicitors in Banbury.

Specialist property litigator John Frith has joined Nottingham law firm Berryman as a partner. He was previously a partner in the Leicester office of Howes Percival.
Black Country firm George Green Solicitors has taken on commercial property associate Nirmia Rabani from the real estate team of Wragge & Co.

North West firm Stephensons Solicitors has promoted clinical negligence associate Judith Thomas-Whittingham and childcare associate Donna Roberts to partner.

Taylor Wessing has bolstered its Brussels office with the hire of Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck Kirkpatrick associate Bart Vandereeckt. He joins as a partner and head of the Brussels IP/IT team.
K&L Gates has hired Sabine Konrad as an arbitration partner in the Paris. She joins from Dewey & LeBoeuf, where she was an associate.
Paris firm Kahn & Associés has recruited Maite Lavrilleux as a partner and head of the restructuring department. She was previously with Proskauer Rose in Paris, where she was an associate.

Douglas Thompson has joined Bryan Cave as a partner in the firm’s Santa Monica office.
He was previously general counsel, litigation, of Countrywide Financial Corporation.
Steven Kramer has joined the Los Angeles office of Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton as a partner in the firm’s business trial practice group. Kramer most recently practised as a partner at Mayer Brown in Los Angeles.
Reed Smith has taken on tax partner John Loalbo in the firm’s Princeton office. He leaves his role as a partner at WolfBlock.
Bingham McCutchen has expanded its antitrust practice with the addition of partner Hill Wellford, former chief of staff of the antitrust division of the US Department of Justice.
Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge has recruited Harvey Feintuch as an insurance partner in New York. Feintuch was previously in the New York office of London Fischer, where he was a partner.
