McDermott Will & Emery has appointed Georgia Quenby as a partner in its banking and finance group. She joins from Nabarro Nathanson.

•Davies Lavery has taken on Carole Chantler as its medical relationship manager. Chantler joins the catastrophic injury team from Lyons Davidson Solicitors.

•Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton has hired Randolph Visser as a partner in Los Angeles. Visser joins the construction, environmental, real estate and land use litigation practice from Morgan Lewis.

Jones Day has brought in Alex Gendzier as a capital markets partner in New York from King & Spalding, where he was also a partner.

•Lichfield-based firm Keelys has boosted its private client team with two appointments. Rebecca Head joins from Hadens Solicitors as head of probate, while Paul Taylor becomes a conveyancing legal executive. Taylor was previously at The Wilkes Partnership.

•Mutual fund manager Janus Capital Group has appointed Kelley Howes as general counsel. Howes was previously senior vice-president and general counsel of the company’s subsidiary Janus Capital Management.

•Amylin Pharmaceuticals has appointed Marcea Bland Lloyd as general counsel from healthcare provider alliance VHA. She also takes up the position of senior vice-president of Amylin’s legal and corporate affairs.

Debevoise & Plimpton has recruited Samuel Tillett as international counsel in the Moscow corporate team. He joins from media and entertainment group Grupa ITI in Poland.

•Merrill Legal Solutions has recruited Jan France as a senior litigation consultant in London. France joins from risk consulting company Kroll Ontrack, where he was principal consultant in courtroom technology.

•King & Spalding has recruited Pamela Furman to its healthcare team. Furman joins the Washington DC office from Olsson Frank and Weeda, where she was a partner.

•Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal has added Yar Chaikovsky to its patent litigation team in San Francisco. Chaikovsky joins as a partner from Weil Gotshal & Manges.
