Penningtons increases partnership by four

Penningtons Solicitors has picked up four new partners, with lateral hires to its banking, corporate, property and family law departments.
Russell Jarvis joins as a banking partner from Dickinson Dees, Stephen Law as a property partner from Shoosmiths, Bindmans partner Julia Thackray will head the family law practice and Blake Lapthorn partner Peter Bond joins as a corporate partner.
Penningtons, which has offices in London, Basingstoke and Godalming, has pledged to use the recession to expand its core practice areas. Chief executive David Raine said: “The increase in partner headcount represents not only a sizeable investment in our future, but tangible evidence of our commitment to developing the strength and depth of our client offering.”
