Pemberton Greenish

UK 200 position: 186

Turnover at Pemberton Greenish grew from £8.8m to £9.3m in the 2011–12 financial year, helped largely by growth in the commercial property, private client and corporate practices. Net profit also improved, from £3.1m to £3.6m, giving the firm’s 10 equity partners an average profit of £360,000.

A boost in instructions (the firm has increased its client portfolio and advised on commercial contracts for the Thames Diamond Jubilee river pageant) was helped by its strategic move to new offices in London’s Sloane Square area during 2010–11.

Pemberton Greenish’s management was reordered in March, with Damian Greenish taking up the newly created role of chairman, while new chief executive Robert Graham-Campbell took on the day-to-day management of the business.

Elsewhere, headcount stayed relatively stable with a slight increase in fee-earners but a slight dip overall. Notable hires in the current financial year included former Mishcon de Reya partner Jason Tann, who joined the commercial property team.
