Following two sluggish financial years, during which time revenue fell by 8 per cent, from £7.6m to £7m, Pemberton Greenish experienced something of a revival in 2010-11. Total turnover was up by 25.7 per cent to £8.8m.
The surge highlights a recovery in the firm’s property group, which accounts for two-thirds of turnover. The group generated £5.9m last year compared with £4.7m in 2009-10. Net profit also improved, climbing 45 per cent to £3.1m from £2.14m, giving the firm’s nine equity partners an average profit of £342,000.
Pemberton Greenish’s strong focus on London property for residential work and the South East in the commercial property field has underpinned growth, with London property prices holding up during the recession. A strategic move to new offices in the Sloane Square area has also helped bolster instructions.
