Following two sluggish financial years, during which time revenue fell by 8 per cent, from £7.6m to £7m, Pemberton Greenish ­experienced something of a revival in 2010-11. Total turnover was up by 25.7 per cent to £8.8m.

The surge highlights a recovery in the firm’s property group, which accounts for two-thirds of turnover. The group generated £5.9m last year compared with £4.7m in 2009-10. Net profit also improved, climbing 45 per cent to £3.1m from £2.14m, giving the firm’s nine ­equity partners an average profit of £342,000.

Pemberton Greenish’s strong focus on ­London property for residential work and the South East in the commercial property field has underpinned growth, with London ­property prices holding up during the ­recession. A strategic move to new offices in the Sloane Square area has also helped bolster instructions.
