Paul Hastings hire kick-starts Asia project finance group

Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker has bolstered its Asian project finance practice with White & Case’s former global head of India.

Raj Pande, who has spent his entire legal career at White & Case, including the last ten years as partner, becomes Paul Hasting’s first dedicated project finance partner in Asia.

As the head of Asian project finance Pande will share his time between the firm’s Toyko and Hong Kong offices.

Commenting on Pande’s move, John Steed, the chair of Paul Hastings Tokyo office said: "I think he [Pande] was attracted by the opportunity we provided to head up a project finance practice. He also felt comfortable with the people at this office and in the project finance practice."

"He [Pande] is an absolutely terrific human being as well as a very good lawyer. He’s a remarkable addition," added Steed.
