Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker has poached Latham & Watkins lawyer Andrew Hutton as of counsel for the firm’s capital markets group in Hong Kong.
Hutton is set to join the team of more than 100 corporate lawyers in Hong Kong, after practising at Latham & Watkins’ Hong Kong and Singapore offices for the past six years.
Hutton has represented both underwriters and issuers in debt and equity offerings, including high-yield, convertible and straight corporate debt offerings and initial public offerings.
His clients include major investment banks, public company issuers and other multi-national corporations and funds.
Paul Hastings Hong Kong partner Neil Torpey said Hutton’s experience would allow the firm to offer a broader range of services to its clients in Asia.
“Andrew has a tremendous reputation for his expertise in debt and equity offerings in Southeast Asia and India and also brings additional high-yield debt experience – an area which will continue to grow in Asia.”
