Stephen Digby, head of intellectual property at Withers' takes up the same role at Davenport Lyons. Head of corporate finance, David Gebbie, has also left Withers, but his ultimate destination is unknown. The two departures appear to be unrelated.
Ian Gaunt, ship finance partner at Sinclair Roche & Temperley, is leaving in April, but has not yet decided on his destination and Harvey Williams is retiring from partnership on 1 May. Their departures come hot on the heels of heads of office Peter Murray (Shanghai) and Simon Taylor (Hong Kong), announced earlier this month.
Robert Ripin joins the capital markets practice of Lovell White Durrant as a partner in their New York office. US-qualified Ripin was Of Counsel to US firm Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy. Ripin is expected to liaise closely with their London office and will contribute to the firm's capital markets and securitisations capabilities.
Pierre-Andre Dubois joins the London office of US firm Brobeck Hale & Dorr as a partner and head of intellectual property and biotechnology. He is the firm's third London partner and joins from Norton Rose.
Cathy Horton joins the London office of Squire Sanders & Dempsey from Clyde & Co. Horton specialises in cross-border mergers and acquisitions. Clyde & Co assistant solicitors Sara Johns and Deborah Robson have moved with her, adding English law capability to their new firm.
Julian Dobson is set to head up the insolvency department of Tunbridge Wells firm Cripps Harries Hall. Leading insolvency practitioner Dobson joins from Hove firm Bunkers. DJ Freeman senior assistant Victoria Chesterfield is also joining the team.
