Halliwell Landau has announced four internal partner appointments. Charles Glaskie and Tim Jackson-Smith have become a partners in the corporate department. Liz Aboud is now a partner within the commercial property department, where she will be joined by new partner Paul Conroy.
Hextall Erskine has appointed Jane Beacham, who has been at the firm since 1992, as a partner specialising in commercial insurance litigation.
Olswang has strengthened its IT and telecoms team with the addition of two new partners. Matthew Cowan and Howard Palmer became partners at the beginning of the month after working at the firm for six and four years respectively. Cowan specialises in corporate work, while Palmer is focused on corporate and commercial work for the IT industry. Olswang now has 40 partners.
Stephenson Harwood has promoted shipping lawyer Carlos Perez partnership after three years at the firm's Madrid office. Perez was responsible for setting up Stephenson Harwood's shipping department in Madrid.
Lester Aldridge has brought its number of partners up to 29 with the appointment of Yasmin Dossabhoy, as head of its banking unit. Dossabhoy, who has been with the firm since 1993, also specialises in asset finance law.
Corporate finance specialist Nicola King has become the 16th partner at The Wilkes Partnership. King joined the firm four years ago after training at Martineau Johnson.
