Bristol firm Cartwrights has promoted Glynis John to partner within the firm's employment unit. John joined the firm last year after working for a short time with Eversheds in Cardiff. She previously gained experience working in the City. Cartwrights' employment unit now includes three partners, with a total of 11 personnel.
Hewitson Becke & Shaw has promoted three lawyers to partner level, taking the number of partners in the firm to 52. Dee Williamson, who joined the firm in 1995, is a member of the property team in the Cambridge office. John Shallcross, who joined in 1994, has been promoted in the property team of the Northampton office. The last of the promotions is Simon Smith, part of the company and commercial team at the Cambridge office.
Russell-Cooke Potter & Chapman has promoted Anthony Sakrouge to partner in the firm's commercial litigation department. Sakrouge, who joined Russell-Cooke Potter & Chapman in 1993, becomes the 20th partner in the south-west London-based firm.
