Partner vote approves Wessing-TJG merger

Partners at German firm Wessing have voted in favour of a merger with City firm Taylor Joynson Garrett (TJG)

The German partners voted by an 84 per cent majority to continue with plans to draw up a contract detailing the terms of the deal. Partners at TJG gave their initial backing to the merger last month. Wessing co-managing partner Wolfgang Rehmann said that the opposition came from the Frankfurt office, but added that the plans were being drawn up to include all partners in the firm.
