Gideon Moore Firm:Linklaters Partner since: 1999 Educated: University of London Key Clients: Credit Suisse First Boston, Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan, Merrill Lynch
Gideon Moore arrived at Linklaters from Clifford Chance via the legacy Dibb Lupton Alsop in February 1999 and has since built up a nifty CV in hotly contested leveraged buyout (LBO) financings.
In 2004 he advised JPMorgan on one of Europe's biggest deals, VNU, and this month he notched up another when he advised Barclays Capital, Credit Suisse First Boston, Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan and Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) on the financing of the Apax-led consortium's bid for Danish telecoms company TDC, a deal that looks set to become Europe's largest-ever LBO.
Moore has also been one of the central lawyers in second-lien financing and reeled in the £1.25bn Gala recap for RBS and Merrill Lynch earlier this year.
