Italian independent firm Gianni Origoni Grippo & Partners has made another step towards recovery, hiring corporate partner Marco Gubitosi from Lega Colucci & Associati.
Gianni Origoni is staging a comeback after 95 lawyers walked out to set up new firm Legance, bringing in Gubitosi and promoting 10 partners in the space of a few weeks.
Gubitosi has been a partner at Lega Colucci since 2004 and served stints at Cravath Swaine & Moore, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Studio Carnelutti.
His practice focuses on the corporate finance aspects of M&A, private equity and joint venture deals.
Gianni Origoni managing partner Tomaso Cenci said: "The continuing development of our corporate finance practice is key."
