The former UK legal director of Paramount Home Entertainment has launched a boutique media firm.
Victoria Botsoff has left Paramount to set up her own firm, called Botsoff, which ;will ;focus ;on commercial and IP work for advertising, television and marketing clients.
At the moment Botsoff will ;work ;as ;a ;sole practitioner, but plans to hire more lawyers.
Botsoff said: “I think it’s a really great time to be in the media world. The sector is very well-placed for a small boutique ;because ;it’s constantly innovating.
“A lot of people are one-man bands, but I’ve got ambitions to grow.”
Botsoff was head of legal for Europe and Latin America at X Factor producer FremantleMedia from 2003 to 2006. Before that she spent four years as legal chief at Rapido TV, which produced ;Channel ;4 programme Eurotrash.
