Fee income at Pannone has risen eight per cent in the first six months of the 2008-09 financial year compared with the same period last year.
The firm brought in £27m in the first half, having attracted £25m during the first six months of 2007-08.
Total income, which includes interest accrued, grew by six per cent from £25.9m to £27.4m.
The strongest performance was in the regulatory and clinical negligence departments, which both recorded double digit growth.
However, corporate and property have both experienced negative growth.
North-west firm DWF recently posted an increase in revenue at the half year stage of 12.5 per cent (TheLawyer.com, 11 November 2008).

Negative Growth
Not sure this phrase is in my dictionary!
It is intersting to contrast Pannone and DWF's half-year reporting with the doom and gloom elsewhere in the north-west (cf. Halliwells, Cobbetts, Eversheds).
Anybody care to suggest an underlying reason for this?
