Pannone has bulked up in the City with the hire of corporate partner Catherine McLoughlin - the eighth partner to join the firm in 12 months.
McLoughlin joins from US firm Wilmer Hale where she acted for UK, US and other international clients on the acquisition and disposal of companies in the life sciences sector.
She has experience in corporate finance, M&A and private equity, having also been head of the corporate finance legal team at investment bank Nomura International.
The firm is also expanding its serious injury practice in London with the relocation of clinical negligence partner Julianne Moore from Manchester as well the planned hire of a raft of seniorpersonal injury and clinical negligence lawyers.
Pannone opened its London office in June 2010 as a base for the firm’s regulatory and corporate crime team, headed by Anthony Barnfather (1 July 2010).
Commenting on the appointment, managing partner Emma Holt said that McLoughlin’s arrival formed part of the firm’s strategy to bulk up its serious injury and corporate divisions in London.
