Paes de Almeida and J Henriques da Silva expand with Lisbon deal

Lisbon-based firm Paes de Almeida Corrêa de Sampaio & Associados has merged with the Law Office of J Henriques da Silva, also based in the Portuguese capital.

The new firm will be a five-partner outfit known as Henriques da Silva Paes de Almeida Corrêa de Sampaio & Associados Sociedade de Advogados, but will operate under the trademark PACSA. It will offer corporate, M&A, tax, bankruptcy, labour and competition law advice. The corporate, M&A and competition capability comes from the Henriques de Silva side of the merged firm.

Partner Pedro Pais de Almeida said: "The new and larger firm will offer a wider range of legal services due to the combined expertise in different practice areas."
