This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
In the news story in The Lawyer (7 October) concerning the closure of Clifford Chance's office in Bahrain ("Clifford Chance to centralise in Dubai"), you state that "...Norton Rose is the only other UK firm in Bahrain". I would like to point out that Palmer Cowen (of Mayfair) continues to operate an office in Bahrain in association with Bahraini advocate Hussain Ali Taqi. The office opened in 1990, although the firm had a prior presence in Bahrain in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Palmer Cowen's Bahrain office provides a range of corporate and commercial advice and can assist in local matters due to its association with a Bahraini advocate. The firm is also a founder member of Law Link, the international grouping of firms.
