A large corporate law firm is not the first place that Tulkinghorn looks for glamour. Just click on the partner profiles at any big operation – there is nary a single triquini to be seen.
Salans is a little different. Clients of the firm include a whole range of fashion houses, but one in particular caught the eye of Tulkinghorn – lingerie-maker Victoria’s Secret.
One of Tulkinghorn’s moles discovered that the Salans lawyers, ahem, handling the client regularly get invited to model-filled Victoria’s Secret parties. Perhaps the best perk that Tulkinghorn has ever heard of.
Pity then poor Salans chairman Stephen Finch, who had to turn down an invite to one of the parties because of a family holiday.
It must have been a very difficult decision to make, but worth it in the end. Perhaps.
