Ouija board 'reasons' due

Reasons for judgment are to be given soon in the Court of Criminal Appeal in the case of Stephen Young, who was jailed for life for a double murder. The court allowed his appeal after submissions from Young's counsel, David Penry-Davy QC, that members of the jury consulted a ouija board about the verdict. Michael Lawson, QC for the Crown, however, argued that what took place did not amount to consideration of material outside the evidence and that the verdict was not tainted by what went on.
