Osborne Clarke wins over Italian partner

Osborne Clarke has welcomed an Italian member to its international alliance, signing Milan boutique Abbatescianni e Associati.

The 12-partner firm signed up to the alliance formally last Friday (23 April) at Osborne Clarke’s alliance board meeting in Milan. The move comes after a two-year courtship and affords Osborne Clarke access to Abbatescianni’s 60 lawyers across offices in Brescia, Milan and Rome.

Abbatescianni specialises in corporate, M&A, intellectual property, employment and real estate. It has also boasted a highly rated tax practice since its 1996 merger with tax accountancy firm Studio Colombo. It is not known whether the firm will rebrand under the Osborne Clarke name, or will continue practising as Abbatescianni.

Osborne Clarke’s alliance now includes offices in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Russia and Spain, as well as its fully-merged German practice in Cologne.
