Osborne Clarke bags Taylor Wessing duo

Osborne Clarke has continued its push in financial services with a double partner hire from Taylor Wessing.
Dominic Ross was head of acquisition finance at Taylor Wessing and joins Osborne Clarke along with Akmal Ghauri, a partner in Taylor Wessing’s finance group. Both will join the firm as equity partners in the banking team in January 2012.
For Ghauri, it is a return to the firm, as he first joined Osborne Clarke from Davies Arnold Cooper in 2000.
Osborne Clarke now has 11 partners in its banking team, as well as three real estate finance partners, three insolvency partners and four financial services partners.
In 2010, the firm identified four key sectors in a bid to target high-end clients: digital business; financial services, real estate and infrastructure; and energy and natural resources.
