Martin Stewart-Smith and Paul Stock join the San Francisco-based firm from Cameron McKenna's energy and construction department.
Ian Johnson, managing partner of Orricks' London office, says: "Martin and Paul's addition further deepens our project finance resources and is consistent with our initial focus in the office on project and structured finance."
The move sees Stewart-Smith working with Johnson for the third time. The pair worked together at Ashurst Morris Crisp, where Johnson was head of the projects practice, before both men joined Chadbourne & Park in 1997.
Stewart-Smith stayed at Chadbourne & Park's London office for six months before moving to Cameron McKenna in December 1997.
"Working with lawyers we know as well as Martin and Paul makes this an attractive acquisition," says Johnson.
The date of Stock and Stewart-Smith's departure from Cameron McKenna was still being negotiated as The Lawyer went to press.
Their arrival at Orricks will take the firm's London office to six partners. Michael Meyers, Orricks' managing partner for international offices, says: "Their expertise in international project finance and privatisation enhances our capability to advise under English as well as US law."
