Reynolds Porter Chamberlain (RPC) has netted insurance partner Victoria Sherratt from Barlow Lyde & Gilbert, where she was also a partner.

Sherratt specialises in property insurance, dealing with commercial risks in the UK and international markets. “I’m thrilled to be joining RPC, which does great work and has an enviable client list,” said Sherratt, who is currently working with the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjustors as it reviews its business interruption policy.

Matthew Poxon has joined Paul Hastings as an associate in the corporate practice of the firm’s London office. He joins from Slaughter and May, where he held the same position.
Chadbourne & Parke has announced the promotion of lawyer Konstantin Osipov to the firm’s London partnership. Osipov focuses on M&A, corporate governance, private equity and dispute resolution.
Seven lawyers at Kirkland & Ellis have been promoted to the firm’s international partnership. This includes London-based corporate specialists Victoria Pickett and Christopher Shield. (See US section.)
Hempsons has recruited two partners to its London office. David Savage has joined the commercial team, while Fiona McLellan has joined the employment team. Savage was previously a partner at Addleshaw Goddard, while McLellan was a partner at Field Fisher Waterhouse.
Taylor Wessing has bolstered its trademark, copyright and media team with the hire of France Delord as partner. Delord joins from Field Fisher Waterhouse, where she was a partner in the firm’s trademark and brand protection group.
Simmons & Simmons has expanded its equity capital markets team with an additional US securities specialist. Julian Perlmutter joins as a corporate partner in its London equity capital markets team. He comes from Clifford Chance in Hong Kong, where he was a consultant.
South East
Surrey firm TWM has announced the appointment of Jamie Berry as a senior associate in its business law team. Berry was previously a legal consultant in British Columbia, Canada as well as a partner at London firm Leon Kaye.
Henmans has netted three new employees. Aimee Costello joins as a solicitor in the clinical negligence team from York firm Pryers, Michelle Morgan joins as a solicitor in the employment law team from Brethertons and Himesh Chavda joins to work in the commercial team from the British Council.
Scotland
Harper Macleod has announced the appointment of a new head of its property and construction sector group. Partner John Meehan joins from Semple Fraser, where he was a partner in the commercial property team.
Europe
Mason Hayes & Curran has strengthened its commercial practice with the promotion of Robert McDonagh to partner. McDonagh advises public and private sector clients in relation to commercial contracts and outsourcing, IT, IP and data protection.
Portugal-based Vieira de Almeida & Associados (VdA) has taken on a new head of international relations in the shape of Nuno Castelão. After five years working as a senior associate in Allen & Overy’s international capital markets department, Castelão joins VdA to head the firm’s international platform, VdAtlas,
which manages its international partnerships in Brazil, Angola and Mozambique.
Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel has announced that corporate and banking lawyer Hubert de Vauplane is joining as a partner in its Paris office. He was formerly
legal and compliance director at the Crédit Agricole group.
Spanish firm Broseta Abogados has bagged a Cuatrecasas Gonçalves Pereira partner for its commercial and financial practices. Manuel Mingot specialises in financial operations and has experience in the financing of acquisitions, derivatives and guarantees.
Dewey & LeBoeuf has expanded its German corporate finance team with a new partner. Martin Kniehase has joined the firm’s Frankfurt office from Allen & Overy, where he was an associate.
Nikolaus Pitkowitz has been elected as vice president of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber. Pitkowitz is a founding partner of Graf & Pitkowitz in Vienna.
The Brussels office of K&L Gates has welcomed Flavia Distefano as a partner in its antitrust, competition and trade regulation practice. Distefano arrives from McKenna
Long & Aldridge, where she headed the firm’s European competition practice.
Robert Bachner has decided to return to Austrian firm Schoenherr as a partner, where
he will strengthen the firm’s project finance and infrastructure practice. He was a partner with Hausmaninger Kletter for six years.
Pierre François has joined France-based Marccus Partners as a partner. He will head the banking and finance department, and comes from Dewey & LeBoeuf, where he was an associate.

Clayton Utz partner Simon Truskett has been appointed chair of Lex Mundi, the network of independent law firms. Truskett is an M&A and corporate partner based in the Sydney office of Clayton Utz.
Offshore
Harneys has added a commercial litigation and insolvency specialist to its team in the
British Virgin Islands. Jeremy Child joins from Enterprise Chambers.
US
Chadbourne & Parke has promoted two lawyers to partner. Benjamin Koenigsberg and Erez Tucner are based in the New York office.
Kirkland & Ellis has made up 74 lawyers to partner with effect from October. They include Chicago-based litigator Suzanne Milne Alexander, New York-based corporate specialist Robert Blaustein, Palo Alto-based IP lawyer Karen Tu Huoth and Washington DC-based litigator Kate O’Scannlain.
