Liverpool-headquarted insurance specialist Silverbeck Rymer has boosted its team with the appointment of Robert Fielding as its first-ever managing director.

He joins from Mobile Doctors, a provider of medico-legal reports for personal injury claims, where he was commercial director. Fielding has worked in the healthcare and insurance sectors for employers including BUPA and Royal & SunAlliance, gaining experience in strategy, business process outsourcing and M&A. Fielding said: “The changing landscape and the upcoming implementation of alternative business structures provides a significant window of opportunity. We’ll drive the business forward through innovation and growth.”

Reynolds Porter Chamberlain has hired CMS Cameron McKenna insurance partner Peter Hill as a consultant.
Pitmans has taken on Daniel Jacob as a partner from Olswang, where he was a senior associate. Philip James arrives from Lewis Silkin, where he was a senior associate, joining the digital media team as partner. Meanwhile, former Manches senior associate Rustam Roy joins the firm as a senior solicitor in the technology practice.
Harbottle & Lewis has made up music lawyer Chloe Wright and charities and tax lawyer David Scott to partner. Sports, sponsorship and interactive entertainment specialist Paul Groves has been promoted to senior associate, as has employment lawyer Eleanor Porter.
Real estate finance lawyer Liza Lam-Kee and litigator Kenny Friday have been promoted to partner at Glovers.
Charles Russell has hired corporate and energy specialist Timothy Sumner as a solicitor from the Brisbane office of Minter Ellison, where he was a lawyer.
Penningtons has hired Andrew Casstles as a partner in its social housing team. He joins from Devonshires, where he was a partner.

Andrew Harbourne has joined Tunbridge Wells firm Cripps Harries Hall as a partner in the real estate team. He moves from Dawsons, where he was head of property and affordable housing. The firm has also promoted real estate lawyers Oliver Morris and Richard Stokes to the partnership.
Kent firm Brachers has promoted Andrew Clarke to partner in its personal injury team. Esther Lee becomes an associate in the private client practice.
South West
Plymouth firm Beers has added employment lawyer Caroline Mitchell and property lawyer Richard Jones to its partnership.
Bristol-based Bond Pearce has promoted Jo Beattie-Edwards, Katherine Douglas, Amanda Greenslade, Jenny Thompson and Alastair Mitton to senior associate. Justin Tivey becomes senior manager.

Davis Blank Furniss in Manchester has hired Paul Walton as a professional negligence consultant from Hill Dickinson, where he was senior partner and managing partner.

Glasgow construction partner Craig Turnbull has been appointed managing partner of MacRoberts, succeeding Michael Murphy. Construction head Neil Kelly in Edinburgh becomes chairman.
Dundas & Wilson construction lawyer Ross Campbell has joined Eversheds’ Edinburgh office as a senior associate.

Corporate lawyer Guillaume Isautier has been promoted to the partnership of Shearman & Sterling in Paris.
Dutch firm AKD has made up Pieter Huys, Carlos Pita Cao and Zabdaj Pollen to partner. Jan Kromhout becomes a salaried partner.
White & Case has boosted its Stockholm offering with the hire of Carl Hugo Parment as a banking and capital markets partner. He joins from an in-house role at DnB NOR Bank.
US
DLA Piper in New York has hired David Goldstein as head of its investment funds practice. Gerald Rokoff becomes a partner in the tax team. Both were previously partners at White & Case.
