There's a growing trend for the daughters of lawyers. Rather than following their fathers into the profession, they turn up on the big screen starring in the latest fantasy films.
First we had Emma Watson, daughter of Allen & Overy's Chris, as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series. Now there's Anna Popplewell, who is appearing as Susan Pevensie in the film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. In real life, she's the eldest child of Andrew Popplewell QC, member of Brick Court Chambers.
Her siblings Laura and Freddie are also budding thespians: Laura appeared as Emma Thompson's daughter in Love, Actually, while Freddie played Michael Darling in the 2003 version of Peter Pan.
Anna Popplewell isn't the only lawyer's child to appear in Narnia. Georgie Henley, playing Susan's sister Lucy (and arguably the star of the film) hails from Yorkshire, where her father Mike is a partner in Hammonds' Leeds office.
But then they do say advocacy is really all theatre, so their talent must be in the blood.
