Olswang taps BLP for hire of real estate partner
Olswang has boosted its real estate team with a partner hire from Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP).

Graham Lloyd-Brunt
Graham Lloyd-Brunt, who has been a partner at BLP for seven years after joining the firm from Norton Rose in 2004, joined Olswang’s 17-partner real estate team, led by partner Gary Watson, on 3 January.
According to Olswang the team, which comprises 52 lawyers in total, boasts institutional clients such as Delancey, Legal & General and UBS Global Asset Management, and has closed deals worth more than £2bn over the past 12 months.
Lloyd-Brunt’s practice is centred on advising UK and European investors on real estate investments and he has particular expertise in residential developments and acting for banks lending on and enforcing security over real estate assets.
In a statement, Olswang chief executive officer David Stewart said: “The real estate team at Olswang has reacted to the market conditions of the last three years exceptionally well.
“We’ve developed our business at the more complex institutional end of the market and the addition of our fantastic German team has established a significant European brand to add to our UK reputation.
“Graham’s experience and ambition will help us take the practice to the next level as we continue to focus on complex high value work and expand our international offering.”
