Olswang has undertaken a management shake-up after three of its four practice group heads decided not to stand for re-election.
The heads of corporate, litigation and media, communications and technology all decided to dump their management roles when their latest terms expired this month.
Chief executive Jonathan Goldstein told The Lawyer: “They all felt individually that they wanted to pass on the reins to new people. It’s not a revolutionary change, but it’s a seamless change to a new team.”
Film finance partner Lisbeth Savill will be replaced by sports and media partner David Zeffman as head of media, communications and technology; Tony Leifer takes over from banking and finance star Moni Mannings in the corporate department; and media litigator Geraldine Proudler leaves the management of the litigation group to employment partner Catherine Taylor. The three former heads will continue to practise at Olswang.
The only practice group head to stand for a fresh three-year term is property boss Tim Westhead. Each practice group head has a place on the 11-person management board, together with Goldstein, senior partner Mark Devereux, chief operating officer Kevin Munslow and four non-executive members.
