Olswang fills top posts for real estate, construction

Olswang has hired a new head of construction to replace current departmental chief Richard Wilson, who is leaving the firm.
Former Davies Arnold Cooper (DAC) partner David Weare is joining Olswang imminently to work alongside construction partner Nick Lane.
Weare was previously a partner and head of construction at DAC, where he was employed from 1997 to 2009.
His practice is focused on contentious work and his clients have included Canary Wharf and Costain.
This comes as ex-Mayer Brown partner Gary Watson, a lawyer with almost three decades of real estate experience, joins as the firm’s new head of real estate.
Watson replaces Tim Westhead, who steps down next month after 12 years in the role, but who will remain a real estate partner at the firm (The Lawyer, 29 March).
Olswang did not return calls for comment.
