Sullivan & Cromwell chair Joseph Shenker said Howard’s expertise in cross-border restructuring and finance would support the increasingly global work of the firm’s clients.

Linklaters has lost a number of partners in recent months, including Washington DC tax partner Joseph Pari (10 May 2013) and a trio of capital markets partners in Paris, who went to White & Case (28 February 2013).
Meanwhile the firm promoted 24 associates to partner, including six in London (29 April 2013). Linklaters also hired two partners from Bingham McCutchen for its Washington DC office (9 May 2013) and picked up Dubai-based Islamic finance specialist Neil Miller from KPMG in March (27 March 2013).
