Harneys has hired a pair of senior lawyers from Ogier to continue its expansion in the Cayman Islands.
Ogier partner Andrew Morehouse and counsel Colin Berryman both join Harneys’ Cayman office as partners. Both lawyers specialise in investment funds, as well as general corporate work.
Harneys has been expanding its Cayman practice globally over the past year with partner and senior associate hires from firms including Appleby, Maples and Calder and Walkers. A year ago the firm picked up Ogier partner Timothy Bridges to boost its Cayman team in Hong Kong (4 May 2012).
Morehouse said he was excited to be part of the next period of growth for Harneys in Cayman.
British Virgin Islands-headquartered Harneys launched in the Cayman Islands in 2008 through a merger with CS Gill & Co (23 June 2008).
The firm has also been expanding into new juridisdictions recently, signing an association agreement to set up in Mauritius earlier this year (14 February 2013).
