Wragge & Co has moved to strengthen its Paris real estate team with the appointment of four lawyers from Bird & Bird, a fortnight after losing seven property finance lawyers to boutique Franklin.
Bird & Bird partner Constance de La Hosseraye is joining Wragges with three associates. She advises on all aspects of real estate projects, and is particularly active in the renewable and clean technology sectors.

The hires follow the departure of property and finance partners David Blondel and Henry Ranchon, with a team of five, to Franklin earlier this month (1 July 2013). Wragges also lost a restructuring team to boutique Racine in the spring (18 April 2013).
De La Hosseraye joined Bird & Bird as a partner in 2007 and was responsible for developing the firm’s real estate practice in Paris.
The hire follows the promotion of real estate finance lawyer Danhoé Reddy-Girard to Wragges’ partnership in France earlier this year.
De La Hosseraye said Wragges had “made a big impact” in Paris since its 2010 launch (25 January 2010) and she had been attracted to the firm by its reputation.
The real estate team is the second team to leave Bird & Bird in Paris within the past year. In September DLA Piper picked up employment partner Philippe Danesi and an associate (14 September 2012). However the firm also grew in France last year, picking up corporate partner Stephen Walters from Dewey & LeBoeuf (11 May 2012).
