In the first transatlantic merger of offshore law firms, Channel Islands firm Ogier and Cayman Islands firm Boxalls are to link up as of 1 February 2004. The merger will create a 24-partner firm with a total of approximately 110 lawyers, with offices in Jersey, Guernsey, the Cayman Islands and London. The Cayman Islands office will be known as Ogier & Boxalls, while the other offices will continue to practice under the name Ogier & Le Masurier.
