OFT lures associate from Slaughters

The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has appointed Slaughter and May associate Jackie Holland as head of competition within the advisory, policy and international group. Holland joined Slaughters as a trainee in 1993 before becoming a senior associate in the competition department. She joins the OFT as a director, reporting to group head Ali Nikpay. Holland said: "I'm looking forward to joining the OFT team at a very busy time and with plenty of challenging issues to look at." Her role will include advising the OFT on the direction of its competition policy.
