Offshore firm Bedell Cristin is to launch in Singapore to underpin its operations in the British Virgin Islands (BVI).
The Singapore office will be headed by partner Stephen Adams, who joined from BVI firm Baker Adams in February 2012. It will focus on offering clients BVI corporate legal services, Bedell said.
Group managing partner Richard Gerwat commented: “The opening of the office in Singapore is a logical move designed to augment our global reach and range of high quality legal services to our international client base, particularly those in the Asian region.”
Bedell Cristin traditionally focused on the Channel Islands. It broke new ground in 2010 when it launched an office in Mauritius and in Tortola in 2011.
