An 80-year-old woman from Bideford, Devon, is heading for a High Court confrontation with Devon and Cornwall police as a result of the effects she claims she suffered after television crews were allowed to film her home being searched for stolen goods. Frances Jarvis is to sue the police, the BBC and Touch Productions for alleged post-traumatic stress disorder, which she claims to have suffered as a result of the intrusion, and will seek ordinary, aggravated and exemplary damages.
