OC turns to Wragges for latest City hire

Osborne Clarke (OC) has added another London partner with the hire of Wragge & Co litigator Tom Ellis.

The news follows the Bristol-headquartered firm’s recruitment of commercial and outsourcing partner John Buyers from Stephenson Harwood. Buyers joined OC yesterday (11 February) (8 February 2013).

Ellis focuses on commercial disputes, corporate investigations and fraud-related matters and acts as a mediator.

He moves to OC on 20 February as a partner in its London disputes practice, after joining Wragges from Bevan Brittan in 2009.

In September last year OC hired Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer international arbitration senior associate Greg Fullelove as a partner in London.

So far this year OC has also brought in former Stephenson Harwood CEO and ex-Dundas & Wilson banking partner John Pike alongside a team of associates including Ben Truman, who joins as a partner (1 February 2013).

OC London office head Andrew Saul commented: “With Tom’s arrival, that makes it four new partner hires in London in the past four weeks, across real estate, finance, litigation and commercial.”
