CITY firm Norton Rose is this week moving back to Bishopsgate - just 18 months after its offices were bombed.
New technology and air-conditioning on all floors are among the improvements which have been made as part of a u20 million revamp.
Managing partner Roger Birkby says a major firm rarely gets the chance to redesign its entire office.
"Even though in our case the opportunity was rather thrust upon us, we have taken full advantage of it. I believe it will give us a significant competitive edge."
Its former offices were severely damaged in April 1993, but temporary accommodation was used at Blackfriars and Cannon St.
Now the firm is going to take over 150,000 sq ft of space in Kempson House and Bishops House, on Camomile Street, and Stone House, on Houndsditch.
* Tony Kay, senior partner of Norton Rose, has taken over as chair of the Norton Rose M5 Group from Jonathan Barclay, of Norwich-based Mills & Reeve. Barclay had held the post since the group was formed in April 1990.
