Norton Rose wins The Lawyer's top HR accolade for work on Flex

Norton Rose carried off the top prize in The Lawyer HR Awards last night for its groundbreaking work on the Flex scheme, which allowed the firm to be one of the tiny number not to make redundancies last year.

For its work on this programme and also the preliminary work of integrating Australian firm Deacons, Norton Rose scooped HR Team of the Year.

In a glittering ceremony at Grosvenor House Hotel last night, the firm also won the award for talent management and retention.

London HR head Lak Purewal said: “We’ve worked on some very exciting and innovative HR initiatives over the last year and it’s great for Norton Rose and the HR team to get this recognition”.

The Lawyer HR Awards, now in its fourth year, is the only event of its kind dedicated to people management.

  • What is this? DLA Piper did not make the list? Not even for their demonstrated HR prowess in the Middle East or virtuoso redundancy management in London? Something must be wrong.
