Norton Rose is the final top 10 law firm to reveal its newly qualified retention (NQ) rate, announcing another steady result.
The firm is keeping 14 of its 16 September NQs, giving it a retention rate of 88 per cent.
This is a boost from last year, when the firm reported a retention rate of 83 per cent after offering jobs to 24 out of 29 NQs (see story).
Out of the top 10, Slaughter and May is the strongest performer as the only firm to post a 100 per cent NQ retention rate, while Allen & Overy remains the weakest with a retention rate of 72 per cent.
Elsewhere, Taylor Wessing has posted a retention rate of 74 per cent, keeping 14 out of 19 trainees.
This reveals a drop from its September 2010 figure, when the firm held on to 19 out of 24 trainees, giving it a retention rate of 79 per cent (see story).
