Norton Rose is to overhaul its entire management structure as it makes plans to replace the positions of managing partner and senior managing partner with a chief executive officer and a chairman

The new roles will report to a revamped management board. Current managing partner Roger Birkby will step down at the end of this year, while senior partner David Lewis will not extend his tenure beyond March 2003. Head of shipping Peter Martyr and head of litigation Peter Rees are tipped to go head-to-head for the positions.
