Norton Rose has turned to Canon to install £300,000 worth of new print equipment in its London office in a bid to improve its green credentials.
The firm said the move would increase its fee-earners' efficiency at the same time as helping it meet its environmental targets.
Canon will install a mix of 480 colour and black and white multifunctional printers and desktop printers in the firm's new offices at More London Riverside, which opened in May.
IT project manager Anthony Salter said the black and white desktop printers would promote the practice of distinguishing between draft jobs using recycled paper and final versions using the multifunctional printers.
He said the new printers would also improve the firm's green targets by reducing paper wastage.
The layout of the printers is designed to improve efficiency by ensuring fee-earners spend less time retrieving documents, freeing up billable hours time, he added.
