Norton Rose has appointed a new managing partner in Singapore following the election of Paul Giles as the firm’s chairman.
Head of projects and energy in Asia Arman Galledari will officially take over on 1 May, when Giles takes up his new role of chairman in London. Giles’ other role of Asian managing partner will be taken up by Hong Kong managing partner David Stannard.
Galledari has been based in Singapore since 1994 and acts largely on complex infrastructure projects. Most recently he advised the Singapore Power Group of Companies on the deregulation of the gas and electricity industries proposed by the Energy Market Authority in the region.
At the same time, the firm has made up shipping and projects partner Gervais Green in the Singapore office, holding the number of partners there at six following the departure of Giles.
