Norton Rose has hired insurance giant Axa's UK co-head of legal in a move that it hopes will reaffirm its place as one of the company's key advisers.
Noleen John joins the firm as a consultant in the corporate insurance team, working part-time. She was previously head of the AXA UK Group legal team and general counsel for the life business of AXA Sun Life.
Norton Rose is one of Axa's main advisers in the UK, and has also previously advised Axa Asia Pacific.
Most recently the firm’s Singapore office acted on the insurer's first venture on the Indian sub-continent, a joint venture with Indian telecoms company Bharti Enterprises.
